The Department of Tourism of Calp City Council has launched a campaign to promote responsible and sustainable tourism in the city. The initiative, which is aimed at residents, businessmen, and tourists, is therefore intended to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable tourism as a pathway for the economic, social, and cultural development of the city.

The campaign will focus on residents in the first phase and to this end mupis, radio spots, posters for the press and videos that will be distributed through social networks have been developed.

This is one of the strategies included in the Strategic Tourism Plan, a document recently approved by the full City Council. It sets out the roadmap for tourism to make the municipality a more competitive and sustainable destination, and that tourism has an impact on a better quality of life for citizens.

Furthermore, this initiative is being developed in line with the principles of the Valencian Code of Ethics, of which Calp has been a member since 2017, promoting tourism based on hospitality and values such as warmth, respect, inclusion, sustainability, and professionalism.
