Cycling route starting from Calpe and combining two of the best-known climbs in the interior of the Marina Alta: the Coll de Rates and the surroundings of the Sierra de Bèrnia. This route allows you to discover some of the most representative landscapes of the inland Costa Blanca, alternating between agricultural valleys, small villages and mountain roads highly appreciated by cyclists.
Along the route, traditional inland towns such as Xaló and Parcent are crossed, surrounded by almond groves, vineyards and olive trees. The ascent to the Coll de Rates is one of the highlights of the route, with a steady climb offering wide views over the valleys that characterize this area.
After overcoming this pass, the route continues towards the surroundings of the Sierra de Bèrnia, an impressive mountain formation dominating the landscape between the Marina Alta and Marina Baixa. From various points along the route, magnificent panoramas of both the inland mountains and the Mediterranean coastline can be enjoyed.
